You might decide that you want to rent your shares out for 60 days at a price of $22.00 for which you would be paid an up front premium that you would get to keep no matter what happened to the share price.
1. The Shares Price Rises
Then you get to sell your shares for a profit and you also get to keep the premium.
2. The Shares Price Remains the Same
Then you don't have to sell your shares and you still get to keep the premium
3. The Shares Price Falls
Then you don't have to sell your shares and the premium that you get to keep helps cover the paper loss that you made.
It is this 3rd option that makes Share renting an even safer Investment Strategy than the normal buy and hold technique.
